How To Make Corn Dogs

Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 4 hot dogs
- 4 wooden skewers
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions

In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).

Insert wooden skewers into each hot dog, leaving enough to hold onto.

Dip each hot dog into the batter, coating it completely.

Carefully place the coated hot dogs into the hot oil and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
